    How much loan can I get against my property?
    Typically 50–65% of your property's current market value (LTV ratio). For a property worth ₹1 Crore, you can get ₹50–65 Lakhs. The exact amount also depends on your income, credit score, and existing obligations. We help maximise your eligible amount.
    Can I continue living in my property after taking a LAP?
    Absolutely yes. A Loan Against Property is a mortgage — only the property documents are held by the bank as security. You continue to stay in or rent out your property as usual throughout the loan tenure.
    What can I use the LAP amount for?
    There is no restriction on end-use for most LAP products. Common uses include business expansion, debt consolidation, children's education abroad, medical emergencies, property purchase, or any other significant personal or professional expense.
    Is LAP better than a personal loan or business loan?
    For large amounts (₹25 Lakhs+), LAP is significantly better. Rates are 9.5–13% vs 14–24% for unsecured loans. Tenure is up to 15 years vs 5–7 years. This results in dramatically lower EMIs for the same amount. The trade-off is your property is pledged as security.
    Can a self-employed person get a LAP?
    Yes. LAP is very popular among self-employed individuals and business owners since it offers large amounts at low rates for any business purpose. You need 2 years of ITR and 12 months bank statements. Commercial property owners can also pledge their business premises.
    What happens if I can't repay the loan?
    In case of prolonged default, the lender has the legal right to auction the mortgaged property to recover the outstanding loan amount. However, lenders always prefer to resolve through restructuring. We recommend always applying for an amount whose EMI is comfortably within your repayment capacity.
